The two longest-tenured players in Khimki Moscow Region history, forward Sergey Monia and sharpshooter Egor Vialtsev will be adding to their legacy at the club after each signed a new one-year deal, the club announced on Saturday.
Monia (2.02 meters, 37 years old), a long-time team captain, will be entering his 11th season with the club where he arrived in 2010 and holds the all-time club record in games played in all competitions. Monia has 217 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, and 133 of those during six campaigns with Khimki, and he also helped the team win two 7DAYS EuroCup titles in 2012 and 2015. Last season, Monia appeared in 17 EuroLeague games and in limited minutes posted 1.9 points on 43.5% three-point shooting, with 1.9 rebounds. Earlier in his career, Monia also played three seasons with CSKA Moscow – including three consecutive EuroLeague Final Four appearances from 2003 to 2005 – and a season with Dynamo Moscow. Monia started his career with Avtodor Saratov and has spent the 2005-06 season splitting time between NBA teams Portland and Sacramento, as well as D-League side Fort Worth.

Vialtsev (1.93 meters, 34 years old) is set to enter his 10th consecutive season with Khimki. He is a 41% three-point shooter for his career, appearing in 96 EuroLeague games, and all but four of those in Khimki uniform. Like Monia, he also helped Khimki win a pair of EuroCup titles. He started his career with Lagoda St Petersburg before playing for CSKA Moscow, CSK VVS-Samara, Ural Great Perm and Triumph Lyubertsy, then joined Khimki in 2011. He helped CSKA win back-to-back Russian League titles and reach consecutive EuroLeague Final Fours in 2003 and 2004.
