Best scorers: Planinic (14 + 7 rebounds + 6 assists), Augustine (13 + 8 rebounds + 5 assists), Davis (12 + 5 rebounds)
Aivar Kuusmaa, BC Kalev head coach:
— Usually the coach is upset when his team loses. Today we played against a very good team and fought during all forty minutes. I didn’t like, however, the way we let Khimki go on fast breaks. My players also let the opponent score some easy points at the drawn fouls. It’s a difficult stretch for us, moreover Bamba Fall is injured. He couldn’t take part in the game due to pain in his knee.
Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:
— I would like to compliment the Kalev players and coach Aivar Kuusmaa for the excellent game they demonstrated. Before the game I told my players that it wouldn’t be an easy thing to do, because Kalev is a very serious team, with their play and the desire to fight. BC Khimki controlled the course of the whole game, though it wasn’t easy. Moreover, I’m happy we won, as well as the fact that Egor Vyaltsev spent more than 20 minutes on the court.
