Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:
— We started well and began to dominate from the very first minute. In the second half our opponent managed to make a comeback, but everything was under our control and there was no cause for anxiety. I’m happy we played like a team and made probably the largest number of assists tonight. Also we showed high two-point and three-point shooting percentages.
Petteri Koponen, BC Khimki guard:
— It was a good game for us. In the first half we were up by 30 points and it seemed like the game was over. But when the young guys came in we lost some rhythm and allowed Nymburk make a comeback in the third quarter. Nevertheless we controlled the course of the game and scored a very comfortable win. We made more than 30 assists today; that is a great result.
Kestutis Kemzura, CEZ Basketball Nymburk head coach:
— The game was done in the first half. We spoke about having the proper attitude and concentration, but we couldn’t play against Khimki the way we used to. We tried to slip in and expected that after the game against CSKA our opponent would be slack, but teams like Khimki don’t forgive your mistakes. At halftime we had a rough talk in the locker room and in the second half we played much better. It was pleasant for me to be back in Khimki, where I spent two years.
