POST-GAME QUOTES

Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:

"I’m glad that we won, since it’s important during this long regular season to take care of business in games you are expected to win. We expected to win at home vs. Nymburk and other teams and so far we’re doing that. This was as an exciting New Year’s game. We started strong, then fell off the pace. Some players off the bench couldn’t bring the energy we needed. We played beautiful basketball and there were some good moments, plus we handed out 31 assists, which says something about our team performance".

Kestutis Kemzura, CEZ Basketball Nymburk head coach:

"The start was horrific. We did something wrong. We weren’t prepared for the game and were too relaxed. I wouldn’t say we didn’t know who we were going against. We played individually, not together. We didn’t share the ball, we weren’t aggressive on defense and we let Khimki shoot too many easy shots. Some changes on defense helped us. When we started to play in a zone, we got a little luckier, plus our opponent relaxed, and we got back in the game. We started better in the 4th quarter, but when we needed to have more of a killer instinct and shoot better, Khimki punished us. I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Khimki on the holidays. I have very warm memories from working at this club".
