The leaders, coaches and players of BC Khimki were invited by the Governor of Moscow Region Boris Gromov. The official reception passed in a friendly climate. BC Khimki presented to his major fan the gold medal of Russian Cup, the team photo with autographs and the net, which was cut off in Kazan “Basket-hall”.
-I want to thank you for winning Russian Cup in the name of many people, who support your team. Apart from the fact of good results, fans feel all good that happens in club. In BC Khimki the aura is good, the friendly staff, talented coach’s staff, stronger players, professional management. I want to thank the club’s president Aleksey Bodunkov and the Head of Khimki town Vladimir Strelchenko, who made an important contribution to BC Khimki success. I am happy that in Moscow Region there is so outstanding team! I congratulate you and thank once more.
After it there was a ceremony of awards. The players have received honorable breastplates of Moscow Region Governor “For the glory of sport”: Vladimir Veremeenko, Vladimir Dyachok, Anton Ponkrashov, Aleksey Savkov, Vitaly Fridzon, Nikita Shabalkin, Nikita Morgunov, Kelly McCarty, Teemu Rannikko, Mike Wilkinson, Macej Lampe, Clay Tucker, Patrick Burke, Daniel Ewing.
The honorable breastplates “Gratitudes” and watches have received: the Khimki town Deputy Sergey Alekseev, the BC Khimki General Director Victor Bychkov, the Head coach Kestutis Kemzura, coaches Russell Bergman, Dmitry Shakulin, Igor Kravtsev, Aleksey Matyunin, doctor Andrey Ulyanov, masseur Pavel Tabachnikov, scout Denis Karaulnov, the International Department Head Elena Nazarova.
In his speech BC Khimki Head coach Kestutis Kemzura thanked the Governor for the warm welcome and for the attention to basketball club Khimki and presented him the gold medal of Russian Cup.
