Saturday BC Khimki played at home against one of the Superleague leaders – UNICS from Kazan. In BC Khimki rosters there are no some key players, but it couldn’t prevent our victory — 77–71 (17-17, 21-25, 24-16, 15-13). Next match BC Khimki will play against “Ural’Great” in Perm on 7th of March.

In the entry of yellow-blue there are no McCarty, Veremeenko and Ewing. Teemu Rannikko was listed with the team. The starting line was: Ponkrashov, Tucker, Fridzon, Wilkinson, Lampe.
First 5 minutes the players of attack line in both teams scored points – Lampe, Lavrinovich and Sokolov. Kazan took the lead — 7-13. And Kestutis Kemzura called a time-out to amend the game. After it our players started to play more aggressively to play in the defense and Tucker leveled the score – 17-17.
In second period Lampe made the score in favor of his team. But Khimki couldn’t increase the lead and as a result the first half of match UNICS won — 38-42.
The first 2 minutes in third period UNICS received 4 fouls because of intense attack of Khimki. No one couldn’t stop this evening the center of Moscow Region team – Macej Lampe.

— It was tough match as we expected to the prejudice of spectacularity. Both teams burned with the desire to win. We suffer losses: Veremeenko, Ewing, McCarty...But our players closed the ranks and reached the victory.
