BC Khimki played against URAL-Great in Perm. The Moscow Region team won convincingly — 94-87 (24-21, 23-18, 22-19, 25-29). On Thuesday our team will play at home against Joventut from Spain in ULEB Cup and next match in Russian Cup on Friday against STK Lokomotiv Novosibirsk.
Top scorers: Lampe (18+11 rebounds), Burke (15), Fridzon (14), Ponkrashov (13), Tucker (11).
There are no Veremeenko, Rannikko and McCarty in Khimki entry list. And the starting line differed from usual, but was the same as against UNICS: Ponkrashov, Tucker, Fridzon, Wilkinson, Lampe.
By tradition Macej Lampe opened the score. But the home team hadn’t allowed guest to dictate the game. And in response Kestutis Kemzura reinforced the attack line by the center Burke. Shabalkin got to the court successfully. Khimki gained rebounds and increased the lead — 32-23.
Further Khimki continued to lead and gain rebounds. The Moscow Region team kept n the mind the future difficult match in ULEB Cup on Thuesday, but our palyers didn’t allowed themselves to relax. They accentuated the attack on the shots on the distance, and not to fight under the boards.
This match became the best for our center Patrick Burke. As usual Lampe, Fridzon, Ponkrashov and Tucker were irrepressible.
