A Nigerian center with an Italian passport Benjamin Eze has become a new BC Khimki basketball player. He moved to Khimki from Siena (Italy), where he became a threefold Italian championship winner and the winner of Super Cup as well. The contract was signed on the system “2 + 1”.
– Today I officially declare the Benjamin Eze transition to BC Khimki, – Sergio Scariolo says. – Yesterday, in European mass media I read messages supposedly from my Twitter. These words are not true: a diary, in which the news was published, is not my personal one. Journalists in the hot off-season passed ahead of the events and disseminated false information. Of course, the position of the club, including my comments, first appears on the official site of BC Khimki.
I have thought for a long time to invite someone to the position of center. Ben is a real athlete, a fighter to the bone. No wonder that during the last five years he was the main player of such a strong club as Montepaski Siena. I am sure that Eze will bring to BC Khimki psychology of a winner.
