The team climbed into Italian SerieA only in the 2008/2009 season, which resulted in the 13th place. However, in the previous playing year thanks to its rapid progress and a jump to the Italian elite, experts called the club as "the main opening of championship".

Matches will be held on the cup system: a game at home – a game away. BC Khimki as a team, "sown" in the first basket, will start its first Euroleague 2010/2011 game away, on September, 21. The return game our team will play at home, three days later – on September, 24.

In the semi-final the winner of our pair will meet with the winner of the other pair Budivelnik – Maroussi BC. The dates of the second round matches – September, 28 and October, 1.
