Ernest Bremer gets MVP of the Week award for Russian PBL 21  october  2010

American-Bosnia and Herzegovina Ernest Bremer (196-G-80, agency: Higher Vision Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Krasnie Krilya Samara and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 30-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and seven assists for Krasnie Krilya in his team's victory, helping them to beat Enisey (#10, 0-3), the league's worst team 85-77. Despite this victory Krasnie Krilya dropped to the 5th position in Russian PBL. Krasnie Krilya is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Bremer had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Krasnie Krilya and it's hard to imagine this team without him. St.Bonaventure University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bremer is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 71.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old Croatian guard Marko Popovic (185-G-82) of Unics Kazan. Popovic impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Unics to edge Lokomotiv K. (1-1) by 2 points 78-76. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Popovic is well-known by Unics fans and he already established his position as the team's most reliable player. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#2). He also recorded 4.5 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Unics Kazan's star — Polish Maciej Lampe (210-C-85). Lampe scored 21 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Unics, helping his team with a 78-76 win against Lokomotiv K. (1-1). Unics needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victories and 1 lost games. Lampe has a great season in Russia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (4th best).
