First quarter was pretty leveled as neither of teams was able to make a bigger lead. Khimky was up by four once, but Partizan responded with 8-2 run closing the first quarter with 21-19 lead. In the next ten minutes teams exchanged in lead few times. Thanks to stop-and-pop jumper by Zoran Planinic, Khimky was 36-37 up at the halftime. After the breather, visitors jumped to 36-42 but Partizan closed the gap to 44-46 few moments later. In the finish of Q3 Aleksey Savrasenko beat the buzzer with a put-back layup for a 49-53 Khimki edge after 30 minutes. Partizan made 55-53 turn at the beginning of the last quarter and entered to last three minutes with 63-60. 0liver Lafayette and Dusan Kecman shined in the finish and thanks to their baskets Partizan grabbed 70-62 with 56 seconds to go. Khimky closed this game with 1-6 run, but was not able to avoid first loss of the season.

Asseco Prokom — Caja Laboral 73-80
Caja Laboral grabbed 73-80 road win against Asseco Prokom for 2-0 record in Group A. Stanko Barac (217-C-86) top-scored for the Spanish champion with 18 points and he pulled down 9 rebounds beside that. Mirza Teletovic (206-F-85, agency: Beo Basket) also was great as he added 17 points and 6 boards, while Marcelinho Huertas (191-G-83, agency: Edge Sports) helped with 12 points, 5 rebs and 8 assists. The hosts got 19 points from Bobby Brown (188-G-84, agency: Priority Sports, college: Cal.St. Fullerton). Their second scorer was J.R. Giddens (196-G-85, agency: Priority Sports, college: N.Mexico) with 16 pts.
Caja Laboral opened the game better and mostly owing to Mirza Teletovic and Fernando San Emeterio had 15-20 lead after ten minutes. The Spanish champion continued in the same rhythm after that stretching their run to excellent 0-10. The hosts called a time-out and J.R. Giddens helped his team to cut the margin to four soon after that. Caja Laboral jumped to plus eight in the finish of the first half, but Brown and Videnov shined in the last 40 seconds setting the score to 38-41. Caja Laboral totally took control on Prokom in Q3. After baskets by Barac, Marcelinho, and Teletovic, visitors jumped to plus 16 and Prokom was in big trouble. Caja Laboral managed keep double-digit lead entering to the last 10 minutes with 54-62. All Prokom was able to do until the end was minus seven.
In the next round Caja Laboral will meet Khimky on the road. Asseco Prokom will go to Kaunas.

Maccabi T-A — Zalgiris 86-70
Maccabi Electra outplayed Zalgiris mostly thanks to Sofoklis Schortsanitis (206-C-85), who scored 24 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Richard Hendrix (203-F-86, college: Alabama) helped with 14 points and 9 boards for 18 minutes on the court. This is the first Euroleague win for Maccabi and at the same time first loss for Zalgiris. Visitors got 17 points from Paulius Jankunas (205-F-84, agency: Interperformances).

Group B
Charleroi — Lottomatica 55-64
Another victory for Lottomatica, who holds perfect 2-0 record in Group B. At the same time, it was the second straight loss for Charleroi. Darius Washington (188-G-85, college: Memphis) stepped up for the guests with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Andrea Crosariol (212-C-84, college: Fairleigh Dickinson) followed closely with 16 points and 8 rebs. In the loosing squad, Demond Mallet (185-G-78, agency: Higher Vision Sports, college: McNeese St.) posted 14 pts and he was their only player with double-digits in scoring.
Charleroi had a nice start and mostly owing to Demond Mallet and Brent Wright created 7-2 lead. In the finish of the first quarter Charleroi jumped to plus 9, but Josh Heytvelt had time to slam the ball off the offensive board to put an end to the first 10 minutes, 21-14. Lottomatica started the second quarter with 0-9 run for 21-23 lead. Hosts responded after that and later finished the first half with minimum lead, 31-30. Lottomatica shined after the breather and was constantly in charge during the third period. Actually, Charleroi tied the score 43-43 in the finish of Q3, but Charles Smith still found time to end the third quarter in style with his first three to make it 43-46 after 30 minutes. Charleroi tied the score once again and nothing has changed until the last five minutes. Than, visitors exploded and mostly thanks to Andrea Crosariol they created 1-11 run. There was less than 90 seconds remaining and question about the winner was resolved.
In the next round, Lottomatica will host Real Madrid. Charleroi will go to Bamberg.

Brose Baskets — 0lympiakos 73-61
First win for Brose Baskets and at the same time first loss for 0lympiakos. Brian Roberts (188-G-85, agency: Arik Krayn Services) (188-G-85, agency: Arik Krayn Services) was the leading player in victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Kyle Hines (198-F/C-86) helped with 14 pts and Anton Gavel (189-G-84, agency: Pro 0ne Sports) followed him with three points less. For the Reds, Thodoros Papaloukas (200-G-77, agency: FCM) collected 13 points and 5 rebs. 0lympiakos had better start as they created 7-12 lead in the first four minutes. The Reds had 9-14 after that, but Brose Baskets shined for rest of the time in Q1 tying the score to 16-16. After triple by Zoran Erceg, 0lympiakos made 20-24 but then Jacobsen and Brian Roberts stepped up for the hosts helping them to create nice 10-0 run. They later finished first half with 34-28 lead. 0lympiakos shined after the breather and thanks to 0-10 run they grabbed 34-38 advantage. Their joy didnt last long as Bamberg made 16-9 for rest of Q3 setting the score to 50-47. At the halfway of the last quarter the German squad reached plus six and later had no troubles to keep it, especially when Papaloukas missed twice from the line. At the end 73-61 for the German squad.

Real Madrid — Unicaja 68-56
Real Madrid was better than Unicaja so both teams have 1-1 record now. Felipe Reyes (203-F/C-80) stepped up for the Whites with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Berni Rodriguez (197-F/G-80) responded with 16 points and 5 assists in defeat.

Cibona — Fener.Ulker 68-73
Fenerbahce Ulker jumped to 2-0 in Group C, while at the same time Cibona dropped to 0-2. Tarence Kinsey (200-G-84, college: S.Carolina) top-scored in victory with 17 points and Roko Leni-Ukic added three less than him. Leon Radosevic (208-C-90) netted 16 points for the hosts.

Lietuvos Rytas — Montepaschi 75-79
Second Euroleague win for the Italian powerhouse, who got 16 points from Rimantas Kaukenas (193-G-77, college: Seton Hall). Bo Lester McCalebb (183-G-85, college: New 0rleans) secured a nice help adding 14 points, while Ksistof Lavrinovic (210-C-79) had 13 pts and 7 boards. In Lietuvos Rytas (0-2), Milko Bjelica (207-C-84, agency: Beo Basket) top-scored with 18 pts. Kenan Bajramovic (206-F-81, agency: Beo Basket) had double-double of 14 points and 12 boards.
Everything started good for Lietuvos Rytas, who made 11-6 lead in the first three minutes. They jumped to plus six later and managed to keep it for rest of the Q1, 21-15. Lietuvos Rytas reached its first double-digit lead in this game, after what Montepaschi replied with 0-7 run. Until the end of the first half, Montepaschi tied the score once again and teams started from zero, 39-39 HT. Third frame was pretty leveled as neither of two teams was able to make a bigger lead. Montepaschi was 2-4 points up and later finished Q3 with 58-60. Rytas made 61-60 turn at the beginning of the last quarter and visitors responded with 0-6. In the finish of this game, Martynas Gecevicius nailed a triple to keep his team within 74-75. However, Bo Lester McCalebb quickly made it on the other side and resolved question about the winner.

Cholet — Regal Barca 77-84
The reigning Euroleague champion recovered from shocking defeat in Spanish league against CAI Zaragoza and outplayed Cholet on the road for 2-0 record in Euroleague, Group C. Erazem Lorbek (209-F/C-84, college: Michigan St.) was the MVP of this meeting with valuation 27 (19 points, 5 rebs). Boniface Ndong (213-C-77) added 16 pts and 7 boards, while Juan Carlos Navarro (192-G-80) added 15 pts and 6 assists. In Cholet (0-2), Sammy Mejia (198-G-83, college: De Paul) collected 17 points and 5 assists. Antywane Robinson (203-F-84, agency: Priority Sports, college: Temple) (6 rebs) and Vule Avdalovic delivered 16 and 12 points respectively.
Regal Barca took control on Cholet from the very beginning. The Spanish giant made quick 0-10 lead and later closed the first quarter with 14-24. The hosts improved after that and they created 10-0 run. However, Barca replied and finished first half with 29-38. After the breather, visitors jumped to plus 11 and were in charge during the entire Q3. With ten minutes left in the game, Erazem Lorbek and his teammates held 51-58. Cholet didnt give up and they somehow came to 73-77 with 1:34 left to play. The worst had passed for Barcelona by the time Mejia missed on an open triple from the corner, Lorbek secured the second rebound and sank his own triple after a Sada assist to widen the lead to seven and put it out of reach for a Cholet team that certainly entertained its fans with a great effort.

Armani MI — U.0limpija 72-76
Perfect start in Euroleague for Union 0limpija. They managed to grab 72-76 victory in Milano for 2-0 record in Group D (same as Panathinaikos). 0n the other side, Armani Jeans Milano dropped to 0-2. Goran Jagodnik (203-F-74, agency: Beo Basket) was the leading player in victory with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Saso 0zbolt (188-G-81, agency: World Sport Agency) also scored 19 pts for the guests. In AJ Milano, Ibrahim Jaaber (187-G-84, agency: 540 Sports, college: Pennsylvania) delivered 13 pts.

Efes Pilsen — Valencia 79-63
Both teams faced with defeats in Round 0ne, but last night it was Efes Pilsen who managed to take the first win. Igor Rakocevic (191-G-78) came up with 20 points and Marvis Thornton (194-G-77, college: St.John's) scored 19 pts, plus he pulled down 10 rebounds (valuation 29). Kerem Tunceri (190-G-79) helped the hosts with 16 points in this meeting. Dusko Savanovic (204-F/C-83, agency: Beo Basket) shined for Valencia with 15 points and 8 boards. Serhiy Lishchuk (210-C/F-82, agency: Beo Basket) was their second scorer with 12 points.
Valencia had amazing start as they created 2-12 lead in the first five minutes. The hosts immediately woke up after that and replied with 12-4 for rest of the first quarter, 14-16. After basket by Nachbar, Efes Pilsen tied the score to 20-20 and later managed to take 34-29 lead after 20 minutes of play. Third quarter was the crucial one in this game. Igor Rakocevic was almost unstoppable and together with Marvis Thornton and Kerem Tunceri, helped Efes Pilsen to create 8-0 run at the halfway of Q3. They finished this period later with 57-45 and Valencia had no chance for rest of the way.
In the next round, Efes Pilsen will host AJ Milano. Valencia will also play at home, but their rival will be CSKA Moscow. Both games are scheduled for November 3.

Panathinaikos — CSKA 74-60
Panathinaikos celebrated 74-60 home win against CSKA to stay perfect after in Group D with 2-0 record.
