BC Azovmash Mariupol announced two new additions for its roster, guard Lynn Greer and big man Akin Akingbala. Veteran Greer (1.86 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Unics Kazan of Russia where last season he averaged 7.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague over 19 appearances.
This will be his return to the Eurocup after playing it with Dynamo Moscow in 2004-05. Greer played college ball in Temple from 1997 to 2002 and that same summer he made his pro debut in Greece with Near East. He signed for the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA in 2003, but he was soon waived and he joined Idea Slask Wroclaw of Poland making his Euroleague debut. That year he made an impact in the competition and was chosen for the 2003-04 All-Euroleague Second Team despite having only played the regular season with Slask. He then played in Russia with Dynamo and then in Italy with Pompea Napoli. In 2006-07 he finally played a full season with the Bucks in the United States but the following season he was back to Greece to play with Olympiacos Piraeus. After two seasons there, he spent another two seasons in Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey before landing in Kazan for the team's Euroleague debut in 2011-12.

Akingbala (2.08 meters, 29 years old) arrives from SLUC Nancy of France, where last season he averaged 12.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearances. Akingbala played college ball in Clemson from 2002 to 2006. He started the 2006-07 season with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the D-League but midway through the season he went to Spain to play with Lleida Basquet. In 2007 he moved to Latvia to play with BK Venstpils, making his Eurocup debut. In 2008 he moved to Russia to join Universitet Yugra Surgut and in 2009 he landed in Nancy, where he played three seasons until now. He won a French League title in 2011.
