French champion Elan Chalon announced Sunday that shooting guard Brion Rush has left the club. Rush joined the club shortly before the start of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season as an injury replacement for rookie guard Marcus Denmon to injury with an understanding that if he was offered a full-season contract by another team, Chalon would agree to release him.
Chalon honored its end of the agreement when Rush was approached by Kazakhstani club BC Astana and the player was subsequently released. Rush was Chalon’s second-leading scorer with 13.9 points over eight Euroleague games. He also led the team in three-point shooting (25 of 52, 46.2%) and was second with 1.1 steals per game.
