n what probably was the most surprising result of the first leg of the Eurocup Quarterfinals, Bojan Dubljevic of KK Buducnost Voli led his team to a home win over Valencia Basket by 75-71 and earned weekly MVP honors in the process with an index rating performance of 25.
Dubljevic scored 15 points, pulled 8 boards, had 3 steals and drew 6 fouls to rack up the best perfoemance among the winning teams in Game 1. The player with the highest index rating was CEZ Nymburk's Tre Simmons with 29, but his team lost to Spartak SPB at home. Next in line was BC Khimki's Thomas Kelati, with an index rating performance of 23 thanks to his 20 points — including 6 of 7 threes -, 3 rebounds and 3 steals to defeat Lokomotiv Kuban at home. Likewise, two players shared the assists throne this week as both Stefan Markovic of Valencia Basket and Tyrese Rice of Lietuvos Rytas dished 7 of them. Simmons completed a great performance also leading the steals ranking of the week with 4, while three players had 2 blocks each this week — Valanciunas, Vitor Faverani of Valencia Basket and Drew Naymick of CEZ Nymburk — . Finally, two players ended up with double-doubles this week, Radenovic with 16 points and 10 boards plus Valanciunas with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
