Thank you, Ramunas! 21  may  2012

PBC CSKA
Our team’s forward, one of the best European players of modern times Ramunas Siskauskas decided to retire from professional basketball.
One can be jealous about Ramunas’ life in sports. He was an integral part of several great teams. Siskauskas has become the European champion with Lithuanian National Team in 2003, he won the bronze of 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2007 Eurobasket. All the clubs he played for has become the champions of their respective countries. Siska’s collection includes gold medals of Lithuanian, Italian, Greek leagues and, obviously, 5 Russian League titles with army men. Ramunas was also one of the heroes of two Euroleague victories: as Panathinaikos player he beat CSKA in 2007. One year later wearing red and blue he has become the Euroleague MVP and an important chain for CSKA title win in Madrid.

Siskauskas played 91 Euroleague games with CSKA (11.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.0 spg, 54.1% two-pointers, 43.4% three-pointers, 80.7% free throws), 72 Russian Superleague games (12.6 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.0 spg, 59.4% two-pointers, 46.1% three-pointers, 83.1% free throws), 42 Russian BEKO PBL League games (9.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg, 59.1% two-pointers, 40.4% three-pointers, 87.0% free throws), 11 Russian Cup games (13,7 ppg, 3,3 rpg, 2,4 apg, 0,7 spg, 59.5% two-pointers, 50.0% three-pointers, 86.4% free throws) and 29 VTB United League games (7.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.1 spg, 44.4% two-pointers, 38.0% three-pointers, 89.4% free throws).

Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:
Ramunas is the person I was always able to lay upon, on and off the court. His experience, tremendous skills, wisdom has become an important parts of CSKA success. Ramunas proved that he can do everything on the court, he is able to solve any task by the coach.
Siskauskas is a decent, intelligent person, a great family man. It is an incredible pleasure to talk with him, his wife Edita, his children. His unchanging calm and amazing friendliness helped maintain a warm microclimate within the team. I sincerely wish Ramunas and his family to fully enjoy life after sport. We are always glad to see them in Moscow.
