Le Mans Sarthe Basket reached an agreement with Torey Thomas to work together for 6 weeks, the club announced Tuesday. Thomas (1.80 meters, 28 years) replaces DaShaun Wood, who broke his left hand in a Eurocup game against CEZ Basketball Nymburk, until he is fully recovered.
Thomas arrives from Aliaga Petkin, where he averaged 1.5 points and 6 assists in 2 Turkish League games last season. He has also played for Erdemirspor Eregli in Turkey, Partizan Belgrade in Serbia, Metros de Santiago in the Dominican Republic, Spartak Primorie Vladivostok in Russia, PGE Turow Zgorzelec in Poland, Guaros de Lara in Venezuela, Matrixx Magixx Nijmegen and Hanzevast Capitals in the Netherlands, Etendard de Brest in France, Akropol BBK in Sweden and Kepez Bld Antalya in Turkey. He helped Turow reach the Polish League finals in 2011 and made it to the Russian Cup title game with Vladivostok in 2012. Thomas is set to make his Eurocup debut with Le Mans.
