One-on-One: Monya vs Khryapa 27  may  2013

VTB United League
VTB-League.com and United League TV present a new episode of One-on-One.
The Khimki – CSKA semifinal is picking up steam and moves to Moscow with the series tied, 1-1. With the most exciting games still to come, two of the biggest stars in this matchup, close friends Sergey Monya (Khimki) and Victor Khryapa (CSKA) have agreed to a virtual battle of wits.

The two Russian national team forwards, with experience playing together for Avtodor, CSKA and Portland, have had excellent seasons and their two teams have reached the semifinals of the VTB United League Playoffs. Which team advances to the finals depends in part on the play of Monya and Khryapa. In this competition, however, basketball knowledge, a sense of humor and originality are the most important qualities, not athletic skill on the court.

With little time to think and under the glare of the cameras, Monya and Khryapa determine how much they can do with their eyes closed, count the number of team plays they could draw on a napkin, choose the funniest last name in basketball, admit which team they’d like to play against in the VTB United League finals and answer several more light-hearted questions.

Who had the upper hand? Monya or Khryapa, Khimki or CSKA, the contender or the reigning champion?
