After a new round of the Eurocup Last 32, a new weekly MVP has arised. When the dust from the 16 games settled, Trenton Meacham of JSF Nanterre emerged as the player with the highest index raing this week among winning players, 33, leading Nanterre to a 79-84 road win at Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir.
Meacham scored 28 points — including 5 of 7 threes -, pulled 4 boards, dished 5 assists, had 2 steals and drew 5 fouls in his complete performance. Two players had a higher index rating than Meacham, but they both were on losing sides. Errick McCollum of Panionios Athens and Esteban Batista of Pinar Karsiyaka racked up a 34 index rating each. Among the top individual performances this week were also two more players with a 32 index rating: Daniel heis of Ratiopharm Ulm and Drew Gordon of Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari.
Individual highs: Meacham and McCollum, 28 points each
McCollum and Meacham were also the top scorers this week with their respective 28 points, while Luke Babbitt of Nizhny Novgorod and Jamal Shuler of Khimik Yuzhne posted 25 each. Bradley Buckman of Besiktas Integral Forex Istanbul was teh giant under the glasses this week thanks to his 16 rebounds, 10 defensive and 6 offensive. Up to three players managed to dish out 10 assists this week: Omar Cook of Lietuvos Rytas, Marques Green of Dinamo Sassari and Joe Ragland of FoxTown Cantu. In defense, three players managed to get 4 steals out of their opponents: Ricky Minard of Budivelnik Kiev, Mateusz Ponitka of Telenet Ostend and Dagan Yivzori of Maccabi Haifa Bazan. Also, three players could stop opponents up to 4 times with as many blocks apiece: Gordon of Dinamo Sassari, Alen Omic of Union Olimpija Ljubljana and Theis of Ulm.
