Tyler Honeycutt was seemingly everywhere at Zalgirio Arena on Friday evening in leading Khimki Moscow Region to a 71-76 come-from behind victory over Zalgiris Kaunas. After producing an amazing performance at both ends of the floor, Honeycutt earned weekly MVP honors for Round 12 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16.
His impressive stat line of 10 points, 17 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks resulted in a performance index rating of 30, which was the most among all players during the three days of Round 12 games. Anadolu Efes Istanbul teammates Thomas Heurtel and Dario Saric were the weekly runners-up with index ratings of 28 in an 87-67 rout of Unicaja Malaga to remain alive in the competition. Heurtel did not miss inside the arc in tallying 17 points and 13 assists; Saric only missed 2 shots altogether as he amassed 17 points and 11 rebounds. Rounding out the list of Round 12’s top performers were FC Barcelona Lassa point guard Tomas Satoransky and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar’s Malcolm Delaney. Satoransky was worth 20 points, 6 assists and 3 steals for an index rating of 26 in a 75-71 loss at Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz. Delaney helped Lokomotiv past Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade with 12 points, 9 assists, 2 steals and 9 fouls drawn to compile an index rating of 25.

Individual leaders: Thomas Heurtel of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, 13 assists

Laboral Kutxa center Ioannis Bourousis, whose 9.4 rebounds per game are the most in the league this season, topped the weekly scoring charts with his 22 points against Barcelona. CSKA guard Nando De Colo remains the league’s top scorer with 19.4 points per game and his backcourt mate Milos Teodosic (16.7 ppg.) is second! Honeycutt’s 17 rebounds were not only the most of the week, but the most of the entire Top 16! Huertel’s 13 assists are tied for the 10th best-single game performance in competition history – and the third best in a Top 16 game. His 7.6 assists per game are the most in the league. Honeycutt and Lokomotiv big man Anthony Randolph shared the weekly lead in steals with 4 each; with 1.6 assists per game, Randolph is now third in the league. Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos Athens tops the 2015-16 charts with 2.0 steals per game. Ekpe Udoh of Fenerbahce Istanbul is the full-season lead with 2.25 blocks per game. The only three players to record double doubles in Round 12 were the top three in weekly index rating: Honeycutt, Heurtel and Saric.
