After being inactive for two months due to injuries, former no1 draft pick Andrea Bargnani was released by Baskonia today as the club announced.
Despite some good games, Bargnani was not healthy enough in order to contribute to Baskonia on a steady basis, ultimately competing in 15 EuroLeague games and missing the playoffs.
Despite having a two year contract with the Spanish club, a buy out was reached and the future of the 32 years old forward is at this point uknown.
However in most top domestic leagues around Europe, the deadline for transfers has expired and that means that the season has probably end for him.
