EuroLeague
Khimki Moscow Region added size and experience to its roster by inking versatile forward Jonas Jerebko to a two-year deal, the club announced on Wednesday.
Jerebko (2.08 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Golden State of the NBA, where he averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 89 NBA games last season, helping his team reach the finals. He started his career with Boras Marco Basket and Plannja Basket Lulea of his native Sweden. Jerebko has also played for Angelico Biella of Italy, as well as for Detroit, Boston and Utah of the NBA.

"I'm looking forward to playing in the top level in Europe after 10 years in the NBA", Jerebko said. "Playing against the best teams in the EuroLeague was obviously on my bucket list. I'm super excited about the opportunity of joining my teammates."

In 635 NBA regular season career games, Jerebko has averaged 6.2 points and 4.0 rebounds. He helped Plannja win the Swedish League title in 2007 and has been a member of his national team. After nine seasons in the NBA, Jerebko is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Khimki in the 2019-20 campaign.

"Jonas is a very good player who can play both at four and five positions", Coach Rimas Kurtinaitis said. "He is coming from the NBA where he showed good results and spectacular basketball, even playing in the 2019 NBA Finals. I have known Jerebko since 2009 when I coached him in Treviso preseason camp. I'm very happy we have signed him. Now he have closed our transfer campaign. I'm happy for all the players we have signed. Now it will be our job as coaches how to make a team from these players."
