The second-best shot-blocker in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season is moving to a new team with the announcement on Thursday that Khimki Moscow Region has signed big man Jeremy Evans for next season.
Evans (2.06 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul, with whom he made his EuroLeague debut last season, putting up 9.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on average over 27 games. His second-highest PIR of the season, 29, came in late-season home win over Khimki in which Evans had 20 points and 8 rebounds. Evans's first stop in Europe three years ago was Khimki, but his time there was shortened by an injury that limited him to playing just two 7DAYS EuroCup and four domestic games early in the season. Prior to that, Evans had spent six seasons in the NBA with Utah and Dallas. His busiest season there, 2013-14, saw Evans average 6.1 points and 4.7 rebounds over 66 games with Utah.

"I'm ready to return to Khimki and have a better season than before," Evans said in the club's announcement. "I can't wait to represent the club that took care of me through a tough injury in my career. I have some unfinished business there and can't wait to get started."
