CSKA dominates the Leningradka Derby 31  january  2020

CSKA Moscow confirmed its great moment in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season by downing cross-town rivals Khimki Moscow Region 69-78 in the Leningradka Derby at Arena Mytishchi on Thursday.
CSKA improved to 16-6 in the standings and grabbed its fifth consecutive win. Khimki dropped to 9-13 after registering its sixth loss in seven games. Mike James led the winners with 21 points, while Johannes Voigtmann had 15 and 14 rebounds. Kyle Hines added 13 points and Howard Sant-Roos 12 for CSKA. Alexey Shved led Khimki with 27 points. Janis Timma added 12 for the hosts. Sergey Monia, Shved and Timma each hit a triple to give Khimki an early 15-11 lead. Sant-Roos rescued CSKA, getting help from James and Voigtmann to put the guests ahead, 19-23 after 10 minutes. CSKA's second unit responded in the second quarter and an outstanding James boosted his team's margin to 32-40 at halftime. Voigtmann and Sant-Roos stepped up after the break and a three-point play by Semen Antonov sealed the outcome, 38-59, at the end of the third quarter. Khimki never recovered.
