Monroe powers up Khimki frontline 30  july  2020

EuroLeague
Khimki Moscow Region bolstered its frontcourt by signing experienced center Greg Monroe for the coming season, the club announced on Thursday.
Monroe (2.11 meters, 30 years old) made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut last season with FC Bayern Munich after a long career in the NBA. He averaged 12.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals for a performance index rating of 16.8 in 28 EuroLeague games. Monroe led Bayern in scoring, rebounds, steals and PIR and was third in assists. He started his professional career with Detroit and also played for Milwaukee, Phoenix, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia over nine seasons in the NBA. Monroe averaged 13.2 points and 8.3 rebounds in 632 NBA regular season career games and was chosen to the NBA All-rookie second team in 2011.

"Monroe is an experienced player who spent many years in the NBA,"Coach Rimas Kurtinaitis said of the signing. "He is one of the few centers in the EuroLeague who can play with his back to the basket. We needed that kind of variety in our game. There are centers who play pick-and-roll, there are those who play with their backs to the basket. Greg is very good at rebounding, averaging 7-8 boards per game. I think we have put together a very strong frontline. "
