Khimki re-signs superstar Shved 30  june  2020

One of the best scorers in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague history has pledged himself to his club for three more years with the announcement that Khimki Moscow Region and Alexey Shved have signed a contract extension.
Shved (1.98 meters, 31 years old) averaged 21.4 points and 6.2 assists in 26 EuroLeague games with Khimki last season. He ranked second in scoring, trailing only Shane Larkin of Anadolu Efes Istanbul (22.2 ppg.). Shved's 6.2 assists per game placed him third in the competition. Shved was the 2017-18 EuroLeague Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy winner after tallying 21.8 points over 34 games that season. His 740 points scored and 107 three-pointers made in that campaign remain single-season EuroLeague records.

Shved started his career with CSKA Moscow, which he helped win the EuroLeague title in 2008 and reach championship games in 2009 and 2012. He also played on loan for Khimki and Dynamo Moscow in the 2009-10 campaign as well as for Minnesota, Philadelphia, Houston and New York in the NBA before returning to Khimki in 2015. Shved was the EuroCup MVP for the 2016-17 season when he averaged 22.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 14 games.


In 140 EuroLeague career games with CSKA and Khimki, Shved has amassed 2,288 points (16.3 ppg.) and 603 assists (4.3 apg.). He ranks 13th in competition history with 346 three-pointers made. In addition to his EuroLeague title and Ford Trophy, Shved's trophy case includes an All-EuroLeague selection in 2018, an All-EuroCup selection in 2017, four Russian League titles and the 2012 VTB United League trophy. He has also been a member of the Russian national team with which he captured bronze medals at EuroBasket 2011 and the 2012 Olympic Games.
