The regular stage of the Russian Championship started off by the thrashing victory of BC Khimki in the match against Lokomotiv Novossibirsk. The Moscow Region team won — 121-66 (27-15, 26-13, 30-19, 38-19) and established some records.
Next match BC Khimki will play in Surgut against Universitet Yugra on 10th of October.

The victory with the gap +55 is the most lopsided victory in the Russian Championship and in the club’s history. Besides it, for the first time BC Khimki scored 121 points during the match (110 – is the previous result). At once eight players of Moscow Region team earned more than 10 points.
The starting line didn’t differ from test-match against Prokom: Ewing, Fridzon, McCarty, Wilkinson, Lampe. BC Khimki players gained the initiative and dictated all the game.
