Orlandina Basket has not been allowed to play in the Italian League next season and therefore loses its guaranteed spot in the 2008-09 Eurocup Regular Season. As such, Benetton Basket Tamoil, which was initially set to play the first qualifying round, will take Orlandina's vacant spot and join Group C
along with Besiktas Cola Turka, BC Khimki and either STB Le Havre, Triumph Lyubertsy or Base Oostende, whichever reaches the regular season group via the qualifying rounds.
