Euroleague Basketball. BC Khimki vs. Union Olimpija 2 november 2012
On Friday, November 2, in 2012/2013 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Basketball regular season game 4 BC Khimki will face Union Olimpija Ljubljana. The match will take place in the Basketball Center of Moscow Region. The beginning of the meeting is at 19.30 msk.

— On the one hand, everyone doesn’t consider Union Olimpija as a favorite of the current Euroleague competition, but, on the other hand, the team picks up good foreign players and has talented youths. 10-12 players constantly have their time at the court, they don’t have vivid leaders but it’s always tough to face such an opponent. The upcoming match will be crucial for us, and it will be a fight for a Top 16 berth. I know that they always play for victory, for them it’s not important where they perform – at home or on the road. BC Khimki lost the last two road games to good teams of Mapooro Cantu and Spartak St Petersburg. Now we play at home and we’ll do our best for a victory. I can say that Union Olimpija plays fast, and probably they would like to make use as of their speed as of our position basketball. You say that Olimpija Ljubljana is going to surprise us? Well, let it be. We are ready for all surprises. Now we feel better, everyone is concentrated and realizes the importance of each upcoming game. We had some temporary failures concerned with my absence but everything has been stabilized and I suppose it will be okay.
Zoran Planinic:
— For us it's one of the games we are targeting so we have to win to qualify for the Top 16. It is a must game for us, we are preparing everything for it, this is like a final for BC Khimki. Today in Euroleague any team can win in one single game. Union Olimpija is a young squad, it likes to run, plays aggressive defense and has very good shooters. If you allow them to shoot open shots they will be capable to beat anybody so we have to focus on the perimeter and try to control the course of the game, play smart and hopefully we'll win.
