ALBA Berlin celebrated 95-82 victory against Roanne, what is enough for the Second Qualifying Round. The French outfit made 86-79 in the first meeting, but failed to keep it in Berlin and they are already eliminated from Euroleague this season. Julius Jenkins (187-G-81, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Georgia Southern) stepped up for the hosts with 23 points and 5 assists. He was the MVP of this meeting with valuation 24. Derrick Allen (203-F-80, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Mississippi) also was good netting 20 points, Tadija Dragicevic (205-F-86, agency: Beo Basket) (5 rebs) and Hollis Price (186-G-79, college: Oklahoma) added 11 points each. In the loosing squad, K.C. Rivers (196-G/F-87, college: Clemson) had 18 points and 6 boards. Alex Gordon (183-G-85, college: Vanderbilt) also scored 18 and Pape-Philippe Amagou (185-G-85) netted two points less than him. ALBA will meet Hemofarm in the next round. Roanne had better start as they made quick 0-5 lead. Visitors reached 8-14 few moments later, but ALBA finally replied with 8-2 run for 16-16 tie. Later the hosts grabbed the first lead and finished opening ten minutes with 25-23. Julius Jenkins and his teammates jumped to plus six at the halfway of Q2, but Roane responded with 0-6 run and after that grabbed 37-40 lead. The hosts shined in the finish of the first half setting the score to 48-44. Tadija Dragicevic was on fire at the beginning of Q3 and together with Julius Jenkins and Derrick Allen lifted ALBA to first double-digit lead in this game, 59-47. The hosts closed third period with four consecutive triples and they were up by 18 pts with 10:00 to. Roanne had no chance for rest of the time.

Hemofarm — Galil Gilboa 77-86
Hemofarm survived against the Israeli champion Galil Gilboa and advanced to the next round. Despite the Serbian outfit did a great job in the first meeting, they were on the verge of elimination in the front of their fans. Mostly owing to Milan Macvan (205-F-89) they shined in the finish and will meet ALBA Berlin at the next stage. Galil Gilboa failed at home on Tuesday 84-97 and now it's clear that was too much. Jack McClinton (185-G-85, college: Miami (FL)) led Galil Gilboa to win in Game Two with 21 points and 5 assists. Gal Mekel (195-G-88, college: Wichita St.) had 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists, while Rodney Green (196-G-88, college: La Salle) added 15 pts and 6 boards. In Hemofarm, Milan Macvan delivered 21 points. He was the MVP of this meeting with valuation 25. Milivoje Bozovic (210-F/C-85, agency: Beo Basket) and Marko Sutalo (194-G-83) had 12 and 11 points respectively. Galil Gilboa shined at the beginning as they made 9-13 and later 13-20 lead. Visitors were almost perfect from behind the arc, what led to impressive 19-29 after ten minutes of play. Hemofarm finally woke up cutting margin to 27-32 and later 31-35, but Jack McClinton continued with his show on the other side. The American point guard made five of six attempts for 3-pts in the first half and mostly owing to him Galil Gilboa was 39-51 up. At the halfway of third period visitors jumped to plus 15, what would be enough for the next stage, but Hemofarm made 7-0 run and later closed the gap to 54-64 with 10:00 to go. With seven minutes left it seemed that Hemofarm is already gone as Galil Gilboa had 61-77, but than Milan Mavan stepped up for his team. He was dominating in the paint helping Hemofarm to get within ten in the finish. With 46 seconds to go the score was set to 73-84. In key offense, Hemofarm missed but they made an offensive rebound, after what Pavkovic scored two free throws and secured a passage for the next round.

Unics — GasTerra F. 78-63
Expected win for Unics, who reached the second round easily. The Russian outfit celebrated in Game One as well and they will meet Charleroi at the next stage. Marko Popovic (185-G-82, college: S.Idaho JC) exploded in this victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. He made six triples for his team. Maciej Lampe (210-C-85) had 12 points and 5 boards, while Zakhar Pashutin (196-G-74) (6 rebs) and Kelly McCarty (201-F-75, agency: Avi Zilberman, college: S.Mississippi) helped with 11 points each. In Dutch champion, Robby Bostain (194-G/F-84, college: Furman) had 17 points and 5 rebounds. Matt Haryasz (210-C-84, college: Stanford) (9 rebs) and Jason Dourisseau (196-G-83, college: Nebraska) scored 13 points each. Unics opened this game better. The hosts started with 8-6 and later improved to 13-7 lead. GasTerra Flames cut the margin to 17-16 until the end of the first quarter, but the hosts replied with 8-3 at the beginning of the second period and later reached 31-23. Still, visitors didn't give up and mostly owing to Robby Bostain, Ross and Ellis, they created 0-7 run for minus one at the halftime. At the beginning of third quarter, Dutch champion threatened seriously as they grabbed 40-43 lead. However, that was all from GasTerra Flames in this game as Unics immediately took control on them taking 53-47 and later 58-47. All what GasTerra Flames was able to do until the end was minus 7.

CEZ Nymburk — Charleroi 73-71
CEZ Nymburk celebrated in this game, but that was not enough for the passage to the next round. The Belgian champion was better 79-68 in Game One and they will meet Unics in the Second Qualifying Round. Chester Simmons (198-G-82, agency: ZAG Advocates, college: Washington) top-scored for the hosts in this game with 17 points and he grabbed 6 rebounds beside that. Michael Lenzly (189-G-81, college: Wofford) scored 15 points and was the last one with double-digits. In Charleroi, Joseph Gomis (180-G-78) shined with 16 points. Christopher Hill (191-G-83, college: Michigan St.) and Demond Mallet (185-G-78, agency: Higher Vision Sports, college: McNeese St.) had 14 and 13 points respectively. CEZ Nymburk started this game with 9-4 run and was looking good. Visitors didn't panic and for the rest of the first quarter managed to tie the score to 17-17. Demond Malet made back-to-back triples lifting Charleroi to 19-23 at the beginning of Q2. The hosts shined in the finish of this period and after 11-3 run set the score to 41-38. Charleroi exploded after the breather making nice 0-10 run for 41-48 advantage. CEZ Nymburk was in big trouble, but they continued to fight. The hosts grabbed 54-52 lead at the end of third quarter and later jumped to plus 64-57, but they still needed more in order to reach the next stage. Charleroi intensified defense and closed this game with 9-14. So they lost this game by two, but they have plus 11 from the first meeting and booked a spot for the next stage.

ASVEL — Buducnost 85-76 OT
ASVEL needed an overtime in Game Two against Buducnost to reach the next stage. The Montenegrin champion celebrated 69-64 victory in the first meeting and ASVEL had 70-65 at the end of the regular time in this one. They were better in OT 14-11 securing a passage for the next round, where they will meet Le Mans. Angel D. Vassallo (198-G/F-86, college: Virginia Tech) stepped up for the hosts with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Davon Jefferson (203-F-86, college: USC) also was great as he added 19 points and 11 boards. Clifford Hammonds (191-G-85, college: Clemson) and Paul Lacombe (194-G-90) helped their team with 12 and 10 points respectively. In Buducnost, Sead Sehovic (201-C/F-89) shined with 17 points. He made five of six attempts from behind the arc. Marko Scekic (207-F-81) and Vladimir Dragicevic (206-C/F-86) posted 13 points each. ASVEL started with 21-16 in the first ten minutes and continued with 12-9 in Q2. Third quarter also belonged to the hosts (17-16), who were on the right way to secure the next round. ASVEL made 67-54 lead in the finish, but than visitors exploded and through Sead Sehovic and Marko Scekic created 0-7 run. The hosts were holding 70-63, when visitors made a lay-up at the buzzer forcing an overtime. At the beginning of extra five minutes, ASVEL jumped to 77-66 and later managed to keep plus 9 to reach the next stage.

Le Mans — Banvit 78-66
Another win for Le Mans, who advanced to the Second Qualifying Round. The French squad celebrated in Turkey 72-78 in Game One and they outplayed Banvit once again, this time in France 78-66. Antoine Diot (191-G-89) was the leading player in this victory with valuation 27. He spent 31 minutes on the court scoring 18 points. Alain Koffi (207-C-83, agency: Beo Basket) (5 rebs) and Benjamin Dewar (196-G/F-81, college: L.Superior) helped the hosts with 14 and 12 points respectively. In Banvit, Mutlu Akpinar (203-C/F-83) top-scored with 18 points. Vladimir Golubovic (213-C-86) had double-double of 16 points and 12 boards, while Charles Davis (202-F-84, college: Alabama) added 14 pts, plus 6 rebs. Le Mans was slightly better team in the first quarter making minimum lead, 18-17. They started to take control on Banvit in Q2 and jumped to 38-33 until the halftime. Banvit was in trouble and it was a mission impossible for them to break out this game and to reach plus seven, how much they needed for the next stage. Le Mans made 20-16 in third period for 9-point lead with ten minutes left. Last quarter was just the formality and it also belonged to Le Mans. The hosts finished it with 20-17 for the final 78-66 victory. They will meet ASVEL in the next round.

Khimky — Pepsi Caserta 85-66
Khimky grabbed thriller win in Game One, but this time they destroyed Pepsi Caserta 85-66. It means that the Russian squad will meet Budivelnyk in the next round. Benjamin Eze (207-C/F-81, college: S.Idaho JC) stepped up for the hosts with 14 points. Keith Langford (193-G/F-83, college: Kansas) was their most valuable player with valuation 21. He scored 13 points and handed out 6 assists to his teammates. Fedor Dmitriev (205-F-84) had 12 and Vitaly Fridzon (195-G-85) added two pointes less. In defeat, Ebi Ere (195-G/F-81, college: Oklahoma) exploded with 28 points. Jumaine Jones (201-F-79, college: Georgia) had double-double of 11 points and 11 boards. Except of the first quarter, which was pretty leveled (20-19), Khimky was totally dominating in this game. Keith Langford and his teammates shined offensively in the second quarter scoring 27 points, while at the same time they limited Italians to 13. The hosts slowed down after the breather letting Pepsi Caserta to cut the margin for five points and it was 62-52 after 30 minutes of play. It seems it was just a sign for the hosts to make another push, what they did in the last quarter. Khimky ended last ten minutes with nice 23-14 for the final 85-66 victory and a passage to the next round. There, Khimky will meet Budivelnyk.
