Unics Kazan set a Euroleague record for the fewest points allowed in one half of a regular season game when it stopped Asseco Prokom Gdynia on 11 in the first half of Thursday's game. The dominant defensive presence of head coach Evgeny Pashutin’s side also tied a record for fewest points allowed in the second quarter with 5. The previous record for fewest points allowed in one half of a regular season game was 14, set by CSKA Moscow when it limited Krka Novo Mesto to that amount in the second half of an 89-35 victory in November 2003. The record for fewest points allowed in a half of any Euroleague game remains 9, set by Olympiacos against Montepaschi Siena in the opening game of the Playoffs last season.
