CSKA Moscow signed forward Zoran Erceg (2.11 meters, 27 years old). Erceg arrives from Besiktas, with whom he won the Turkish League and the FIBA EuroChallenge last season.
He averaged 14.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 29 Turkish League games and 12.3 points and 5.8 boards in the EuroChallenge, including an impressive 25-points, 15-rebound effort in the title game. His previous Euroleague experience came with Olympiacos, with whom he played the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons. He reached the Final Four in the first of those seasons. In between he spent one season on loan at Panionios. Erceg grew up with Polet Keramika Novi Becej in his native Serbia and first joined FMP as a 17-year-old. He made a name for himself by leading FMP to the ULEB Cup semifinals in 2006-07. Among his career highlights were winning the 2004 Adriatic League and a pair of Serbian Cup trophies with FMP. Erceg has also represented the Serbian national team in the past.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:
Zoran is one of the most promising big men in Europe. I like his versatility – besides playing in the paint he has great shot from the distance so he can play on the perimeter also. He has improved significantly past season and we expect him to continue improving his game. Hopefully Erceg will be a good addition for our team.
