28-year old guard Aaron Miles (186-G-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for Krasnie Krilya and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 9 points adding ten rebounds and eight assists for Krasnie Krilya in his team's victory, helping them to beat N.Novgorod (#10, 1-10) 79-73. Krasnie Krilya is placed at 5th position in Russian league. Krasnie Krilya is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Miles as usually he does not deliver so high stats. University of Kansas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Miles is league's best passer with 5.8apg. Miles

Second best performed player last round was Kelly McCarty (201-F-75, agency: Avi Zilberman) of Unics. He is naturalized American forward in his second season at Unics. In the last game McCarty recorded impressive 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Unics was edged by the higher-ranked Triumph (#3, 7-4) 76-73. Unics managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. McCarty is well-known at Unics and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Artem Yakovenko (205-F/C-88, agency: RU-Basket Management) of N.Novgorod (#10). Yakovenko scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds. Despite Yakovenko's great performance N.Novgorod lost 73-79 to the higher-ranked Krasnie Krilya (#5, 6-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. N.Novgorod can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-10 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Yakovenko he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Yakovenko has a very solid season. In 7 games in Russia he scored 9.7ppg. He also has 4.6rpg and FGP: 64.7%.
