The second week of the Eurocup passed by with a relentless schedule of 20 games on Wednesday night, but when the dust settled, Mouphtaou Monra Yarou of Radnicki Kragujevac emerged as the player on a winning team with the highest index rating of the week, 41.
Yarou led his team with 17 points — 7 of 9 2-pointers -, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 fouls drawn to be the player with the highest individual performance on Week 2 and to lead Radnicki to a 92-89 home win over Bisons Loimaa. Second in line was Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir's Bobby Dixon, who led his team to a 72-80 road win at CSU Asesoft Ploiesti with his 25 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists for a 33 index rating. He was joined with that figure, 33, also by CEZ Basketball Nymburk's Rasid Mahalbasic and his 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 fouls drawn to lead his team to a 84-67 home win over Cibona Zagreb.
Individual highs: Dusan Djordjevic of Telenet Ostend, 13 assists
The player with the most points this week was Belgacom Spirou Charleroi's Mohamed Abukar, who posted 27, not enough to grant his team the first win of the season. MVP Yarou, not surprisingly, was the player with the most rebounds thanks to his 17, 11 defensive and 6 offensive. Dusan Djordjevic of Telenet Ostend was the master passer of the week with as many as 13 assists, two players had 6 steals apiece — David Cubillan of Maccabi Haifa Bazan and Chris Kramer of EWE Baskets Oldenburg. Finally, Cyril Akpomedah of BCM Gravelines Dunkerque emerged as the best shot blocker this week with 4 stops.
