CSU Asesoft Ploiesti added experience and athleticism by inking swingman Rawle Marshall for the remainder of the season, the club announced Tuesday. Marshall (2.01 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Astana, where he averaged 11.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 18 VTB League games last season.
He was the VTB League's top scorer in 2011-12, averaging 16.8 points in 15 games, and helped Astana to win back-to-back Kazakhstan doubles — league and cup titles — in each of the last two seasons. Marshall has also played for PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece, Asvel Villeurbanne in France, Valencia Basket in Spain, Cibona Zagreb in Croatia, Lokomotiv Rostov in Russia, Hemofarm in Serbia, Dallas of the NBA and Fort Wayne of the NBA Development League. He helped Asvel win the Semaine des As title in 2010 and reached the Adriatic League, Serbian League and Serbian Cup finals with Hemofarm in 2008.
