Fenerbahce Ulker added scoring punch to its backcourt by signing rookie guard Pierre Jackson for the remainder of the season. Jackson (1.78 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Idaho of the NBA D-League, where he was second in scoring with 29.1 points per game in addition to 6.2 assists and 1.9 steals over 31 contests. He set the league’s single-game scoring record with a 58-point outburst earlier in February. Jackson signed for Asvel Villeurbanne of France over the summer, but left before playing a game due to family reasons. Jackson played college basketball the previous two seasons at Baylor University, where he was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team both years.
