Strasbourg hires Gelabale for one month 23  november  2014

With the stated goal of finishing Group A in first place, Strasbourg on Friday announced the signing of veteran forward and former Eurocup champion Michael Gelabale for one month until the end of the regular season. Gelabale (2.01 meters, 31 years old) won a World Championships bronze medal with the French national team under Strasbourg head coach Vincent Collet this summer and played all of last season for Khimki Moscow Region.
In his 13 seasons as a pro, he has played for two other French clubs, Cholet Basket and ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne, Real Madrid and Valencia Basket of Spain, Cevevita Zagreb and Khimki twice, including on that club's Eurocup title team in 2011-12. He also played for Seattle and Minnesota of the NBA. In three previous Eurocup seasons, he averaged 9 points and 4.2 rebounds. In seven Euroleague seasons, his numbers were 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. Strasbourg currently has a 5-1 record at the top of Group A of the Eurocup Regular Season.
