Khimki Moscow Region added depth and versatility to its roster by signing forward Valeriy Likhodey to a one-year deal on Wednesday.
Likhodey (2.05 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Unics Kazan, where he averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 17 Eurocup games last season. He joined CSKA Moscow at a junior age and has also played for CSK VVS Samara, CSK VVS Standart, Triumph Lyubertsy, Spartak St. Petersburg and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Likhodey helped Lokomotiv win the Eurocup in 2013. He has also made it to the VTB League finals with Lokomotiv in 2013 and with Unics last season. And Likhodey has been a member of the Russian national team.

"Khimki is a new step in my career. I have developed very well in recent years and now, I am absolutely sure that, with the help of an experienced coach like Ivanovic, I will work hard and take a qualitative leap, grow and finally show what I am capable of," Likhodey said. "This is a great team with big goals, and this is exactly what I need."
