One of our team veterans Andrey Vorontsevich (29 y.o., 207 cm) signed new 3-year contract.
The player moved to CSKA in 2006 and now has a chance to match Andrey Lopatov’s record who played here for 14 consecutive seasons (1976-90). In total games played Vorontsevich trails only to Victor Khryapa – 555 vs 570, he is fifth in points scored (3522) and second in rebounds (2071). The forward is also among the leaders in three-point percentage (42%).
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Vorontsevich is a moder power forward, Russian player who is important for us. He played for CSKA for 11 years, he knows how the club works, adopted the system. Andrey is in good age for the athlete, we believe we will see his best basketball next years. I wish him to stay healthy. I am happy that we continue working together.
