Russia National U20 Team takes first place in the group 8 july 2007
In the final match at the group stage the team of Russia beated the Turkey. The opponents gave the battle but our team headed by BC Khimki player Aleksey Shved won — 88-74 (21-20, 22-24, 22-18, 23-12). After this victory Russian team went on the top place.
The playmaker from BC Khimki was the top scorer in the National team (22 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds) and scored the decisive points. With 4 seconds before the third break Aleksey had three points on his credit and put the team ahead.
Petr Gubanov scored 7 points and and rebounded 4 times.
