In the final day of the qualifying stage at the U20 European Championship Men Russian team faced with the team of Slovenia. For promoting to the Top Four our team needed a victory with 5 points gap. The task was fulfilled. The team of Russia won 63-55 (18-20, 15-12, 18-15, 12-8). Both Khimki players made an important contribution to the victory. Aleksey Shved had 11 points on his credit, Petr Gubanov scored 12 points.
