Alexander Petrenko Memory Day21 july 2011

Five years ago the former BC Khimki player ALEXANDER PETRENKO died in a car crash... Today we remember and recollect the memory of our captain.

Alexander Petrenko was born on February 4, 1976 in Alma-Ata. His first professional club was CSK VVS Samara. Then the basketball player defended the colors of Arsenal Tula, UNICS Kazan, CSKA Moscow. Since 1993 he was the player of Russian national team of different ages. However, the most serious success Petrenko won with BC Khimki, played in our club since 2002 to 2006.

Achievements in BC Khimki:

2005 — Bronze medalist of the FIBA-Europe League,
2006 — Super League bronze medalist, Russian Championship silver medalist, EuroCup silver medalist, Russian Cup silver medalist

BC Khimki reveres Petrenko's memory. From 2006 to 2010 we held three Alexander Petrenko Pro Memoria International Tournaments. And today we again want to recollect the memory of this outstanding person, faithful friend and talented player. Alexander Petrenko will forever be in BC Khimki fans' hearts.
