Timofey Mozgov returned to BC Khimki21 july 2011

Today BC Khimki and Russian center Timofey Mozgov have reached an agreement: season 2011-2012 until the end of NBA lockout the player will spend in our team.

Victor Bychkov, BC Khimki General Manager:

— In the offseason, after we parted ways with Alexey Savrasenko and Lazaros Papadopoulos, we needed to strengthen the front line. In the BC Khimki roster there are players who can act at the position of the fourth and fifth numbers — Alexey Zhukanenko and Kresimir Loncar. But we also needed a powerful center. We had studied a lot of candidates. But when it came to the lockout, and Mozgov came to Russia, we immediately asked about his plans for the next year in the event of a break in the NBA Championship. I have repeatedly stressed that we would not invite the NBA basketball players for a while of pause, but Mozgov is a special person for our club and fans. Interests of both sides coincided and we agreed very quickly.
