BC Khimki signed a two-year contract with American power forward James Augustine. Last four years Augustine spent in Spanish league ACB. Moreover a BC Khimki rookie has NBA experience.
Victor Bychkov, BC Khimki General Manager:
— We are pleased to announce that our club has signed a contract with the second novice — American James Augustine, a player who can close out positions of 4 and 5 numbers. He has a good statistics on the rebounding and scoring. I hope that having signed Augustine and Davis, we will solve problems in the front line. I think that, along with newcomers and those guys who play in BC Khimki at 4-5 numbers, we will be stronger and more successful.
Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:
— Augustine has good stats — 13 points and 8 rebounds per game. He has a good middle throw and high points goals percent. James is able to maintain a fast break. And, what is more important, he puts team interest above personal one. I think that with the arrival of Augustine and Davis we will strengthen the front line and look better under the ring.
