— Real Madrid is a well-known, elite European team that plays smart basketball. They were strengthened by Rudy Fernandez, the main player on the Spanish squad. It will be a very tough game, but we are ready. BC Khimki plays at home and we would like to win in front of our fans.

K.C. Rivers:

— I expect a very tough game for both teams. I suppose Rudy Fernandez is the head of Real Madrid, but the their roster is very consistent, so they can involve all 12 guys. They have good rebounders and shooters. If we want to win we must play with energy and 100% concentration. BC Khimki is a team that is always ready to fight with every opponent. We never give up.

Real Madrid guard Sergio Llull will not travel to Russia to face BC Khimki Moscow Region due to a sprained ankle, the club announced Wednesday night. Llull was injured in practice and needs to undergo further examination to determine out how long he will be sidelined. He will not face BC Khimki and will be out for the Spanish League this weekend, too.
