Brose forward Luka Mitrovic and BC Khimki guard Charles Jenkins were teammates at Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade for two stints, first from 2013 to 2015, then again last season.

Brose guard Ricky Hickman and BC Khimki forward Malcolm Thomas were teammates at Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2012/2013 season.

Ricky Hickman posted his career high in scoring with 30 points for Maccabi Tel Aviv against BC Khimki in March 2013.

BC Khimki center Dmitry Sokolov and Brose guard Nikos Zisis played together under current Brose head coach Andrea Trinchieri at Unics Kazan in 2013/2014 season. Trinchieri was EuroCup coach of the Year, and they all reached the EuroCup Finals together.

Georgios Bartzokas, BC Khimki head coach:

“We played with them one month ago and know that the situation didn't change. They are a very experienced team that is fighting till the last minute, especially at their home court. They spend a lot of energy and show desire with aggressiveness. It's a difficult team to play against. Right now they added one big man Musli who is a big target. We had a few days to work and prepare for this game. We have some misses with injures but hopefully, everybody, except Robinson, will be able to play. They have noisy arena that's why we need to have concentration and communication with the bench”.

Egor Vyaltsev, BC Khimki guard:

“In the beginning of a new year we have a tough schedule as we went on a double trip. It will be a tough game like here in Russia. We have to win. Brose Bamberg will play at home in a comfort atmosphere that is a trademark. We know it will be a great environment at their arena as we faced them several times there. First, we need to be concentrated and play until the end to have result. We need to believe in ourselves. We have to forget our loss to FC Barcelona Lassa and give all power against Brose Bamberg trying to win”.
