PRE-GAME QUOTES

Georgios Bartzokas, BC Khimki head coach:

“We have two EuroLeague games in a row under some circumstances that maybe we can control, depending on the previous result, playing time, trip, injures and how exhausted is the team. We know, right now Olympiacos has a really deep roster from the first player until the last one. Also, they have had the same coach and a bunch of Greek players for a long time. They know how to play together and handle situations. It’s going to be a difficult game but I think we have a chance to win, just in the only one way, I mean playing like we did in the second half with Crvena Zvezda yesterday. We have to play as a team and understand how it is important to win a game at this level. We are still learning from this difficult EuroLeague. We are still having many ups and downs. It’s a fact that we are playing without Robinson, our best rebounder. So, we are trying to cover his back and need extra effort, especially tomorrow, because Olympiacos has a lot of inside players”.

Andrey Zubkov, BC Khimki forward:

“We have to play tough and have the right mood. This is EuroLeague where there are no easy or soft games. Everything will start from our defense. We lost to Olympiacos in Greece and now we’ll have a fighting spirit. Each game is very important right now because all the teams are struggling for play-off spots. We’ll do everything for this win and will fight on Thursday”.
