28-year old forward Jeremiah Massey (202-F-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for Lokomotiv Kuban and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had the game-high 24 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Lokomotiv in his team's victory, helping them to beat Khimky (#4, 16-9) 81-75.
The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Lokomotiv is placed at 3rd position in Russian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Lokomotiv will need more victories to improve their 17-9 record. In the team's last game Massey had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Lokomotiv's top player in his first season with the team. Kansas State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Massey is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 6.3rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Anton Ponkrashov (200-G-86, agency: RIZO) of Spartak St.Petersburg. He is former international guard in his first season at Spartak SP. In the last game Ponkrashov recorded impressive 24 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Spartak SP lost that game 73-84 to the lower-ranked N.Novgorod (#8, 9-17). This loss caused Spartak SP to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 16-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ponkrashov is a newcomer at Spartak SP and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Egor Vyaltsev (192-G-85) of Triumph Lyubertsy (#10). Vyaltsev showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, six rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Vyaltsev's great performance Triumph lost 87-94 to the higher-ranked Krasnie Krilya (#7, 10-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Triumph can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-21 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Vyaltsev he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Vyaltsev has individually a great season in Russia. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.1ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.5apg (3rd best).
