Euroleague Basketball joins the family of CSU Asesoft Ploiesti and all European basketball in mourning the premature pasing of 43-year-old coach Vladimir "Dado" Arnautovic in Belgrade this weekend.
Arnautovic recently learned he suffered from cancer, and on Saturday his last battle came to an end. Arnautovic led Asesoft to the Eurocup Last 32 last season — the biggest success a Romanian club ever had in the competition — registering quality wins against three former champions: Hapoel Jerusalem, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius and Valencia Basket. He finished his playing career with Asesoft, helping it win the Romanian League title in 2004, then returned to the club as head coach from 2008 until the moment he had to step down earlier this February. He helped Asesoft conquer six Romanian League crowns from 2009 to 2015.

Euroleague Basketball extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Arnautovic's family, friends and club, CSU Asesoft Ploiesti.
