POST-GAME

Georgios Bartzokas, BC Khimki head coach:

“We had our chance to win this game, to put pressure psychologically on CSKA at the end of the third quarter but when we had time to go up, we missed two layups and two free throws. CSKA is a team that knows how to punish things like this. Honestly, I think if we had gone ahead, we may have put some pressure on them. Anyway, we continue — I have to say congratulations to our players for the effort”.

Tyler Honeycutt, BC Khimki forward:

"They just shot a lot of free throws that hurt us. We could't continue our same aggressive defense. They shot 34 free throws whereas we made only 18 and the difference is doubled. That made a difference in the game. Cory Higgins shot 16 free throws. Well, in general it was a good game. If you want to see where we are with the best teams, this is one of the ways to see how you compare to go in the game, it shows our character. Of course, we still have a lot of things to work on; we are a new team. We have to play hard all forty minutes".
