POST-GAME

Rimas Kurtinaitis, Khimki Moscow Region head coach:

“I am very happy that we won, because we beat both EuroLeague and VTB United League champion. This is a very good win. We have a lot of problems at the moment, the situation with winnings is not in order, especially after all the illnesses and injuries. Today we played the way we wanted; we made only eight turnovers, played tactically well for a strong player, looked for weaknesses in the CSKA defense and beat them through them. Everything was right strategically, the execution was good, and in the end, it was a very good victory”.

Dairis Bertans, Khimki Moscow Region guard:

“We finally had a very good game. I think today it didn't matter at all what happened before, how we played before this game, because this is a Derby, a game with CSKA, against which we had to play to the full strength. We did it, especially in the second half. After a long break, we started to play ver good defense , there was a lot of energy, and after a good defense, a quick offense started, we scored a lot of points in the transition. I would say this is our game: aggressive defense and fast offense”.
